What is CPTS ?
A Territorial Professional Health Community (CPTS) is an organization designed around a health project and created at the initiative of liberal health professionals in a defined territory.
It aims to provide a collective response to the population's health needs, by improving access to care and patient care pathways, facilitating coordination between health professionals and contributing to public health management at the local level.
Your brand new professional healthcare community
Created in 2024, the CPTS Val de Guyenne carried out an in-depth diagnosis of the needs of the territory and its population, and validated its health project with the ARS in December 2025.
A conventional agreement (ACI) with the CPAM Lot-et-Garonne was signed on January 30, 2026.
The territory of the CPTS Val de Guyenne
The territory of the CPTS Val de Guyenne extends from the community of communes of Duras to that of Lauzun, also including the communes of Seyches and Puymiclan.
It comprises a total of 40 municipalities, 109 healthcare professionals and 18,482 inhabitants.

Health assessment of our territory
The population of the territory is in fairly good health, the environment is rather favorable, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes are the most frequent pathologies.
The aging population is also a factor to consider in the evolving demand for healthcare. Given that an additional year of life expectancy represents 20% of individuals in good health and 80% with healthcare needs, healthcare services should anticipate an increase in demand.
Finally, the territory of the CPTS Val de Guyenne is also affected by social vulnerabilities that can impact the ability to access a healthcare pathway:
- Among older people, 39% of those over 75 live alone.
- 11.9% of 15-64 year olds are job seekers
- 25.8% of families are single-parent families
- 44.7% of MSA members are beneficiaries of minimum social benefits
Regarding the presence of healthcare professionals, the territory can rely on the Hospital Centre (CHIC) and on a partnership with the CPTS Grand Agenais around the Médicobus / Gynécobus.
The three multidisciplinary health centers in Miramont-de-Guyenne, Duras and Lévignac de Guyenne allow for coordinated practice in our territory.
The CPTS Val de Guyenne links these establishments and structures with the liberal professionals in the territory and thus makes coordinated practice possible.
The coverage of the population by general practitioners is alarming, as in many areas of France, with 64% of GPs over 60 years old. The canton of Duras will lose 3 GPs in 2026.
Missions of the CPTS Val de Guyenne
The CPTS Val de Guyennehealth project, consistent with the needs of the territory and the Interprofessional Conventional Agreement (ACI), is structured around 4 core missions:

Improved access to healthcare
- Facilitating access to a general practitioner (Medicobus and telemedicine)
- Census of users without a primary care physician and volunteer general practitioners
- Facilitating access to a gynecologist (Gynecology Bus)
- Improving the management of unscheduled care (SNP, SAS, emergency call center 15)
- Advanced Practice Training Support for Nurses

Organization of multi-professional care pathways around the patient
- Coordination of healthcare professionals between the city and the hospital, particularly with the CHIC – Marmande-Tonneins
- Creation of a regional directory and coordination of healthcare professionals
- Coordinated management of elderly or frail individuals
- Implementation of palliative care pathways and support for caregivers

Development of local prevention initiatives
- Improve screening rates (cancers, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases) and vaccination coverage
- Supporting the deployment of therapeutic education programs for patients and caregivers (diabetes and cardiovascular disease)
- Improve information for professionals and raise public awareness about nutrition and malnutrition

Health Crisis Management
- Drafting a plan to respond to exceptional health crises
Our health project will, on the one hand, allow for greater coordination among professionals in the area and, on the other hand, provide solutions for all users looking for a general practitioner, gynecological consultations, private nurses and other practitioners, as well as awareness and prevention campaigns for the population.
